Huawei recently launched Huawei P9
and P9 Plus but the another phone from the Honor sub-brand is set to debut next month. Until this moment, nothing is known about the upcoming Honor V8 but the teaser shared by the company hints at a dual camera setup.
Huawei P9 has a dual-camera setup co-engineered by Leica and a recent report said that we may see more devices with this kind of camera setup this year. Even the upcoming iPhone 7 is rumored to come with a dual camera set-up. This isn’t the first the dual-camera setup is coming to the
Honor sub-brand, it is on Huawei Honor 6 Plus released way back in 2014.
As for the specifications, very little is known but a dual 12MP rear camera is expected as seen on Huawei P9. There
are also speculations the device will be powered by Huawei’s homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor. Random
Access Memory should be around 4GB
but again, these are speculations. We can’t be really sure until the device is finally unveiled on May 10.
Honor V8 is expected to come with a
fingerprint scanner presumably at the back and it will be an LED for payments. It will also ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
