Bad breath can be very embarrassing! It is usually caused by poor dental health, coated tongue and sometimes caused by inflammation and more. A foul mouth odour -aggravated by gum diseases, cavities, malnutrition, dry mouth, lactose intolerance and more-is in no way decent.

Bad breath/halitosis is a common problem in a lot of people which gets worse over time if left unchecked.
It’s very important to note that frizzy drinks and foods like onions, garlic as well as coffee and alcohol can also cause bad breath (these are usually temporary which can be treated by brushing regularly)

Below are two home remedies to get rid of bad breath

Fruit Mix
Directions:
1.     Dice (or cut into desired shapes) apples, celery, walnut, carrots and more ‘crunchy’ fruits
2.     Add all the fruits together and pour in desired yoghurt then sprinkle in cinnamon powder
3.     Eat this ‘yummy’ treat!
Crunchy fruits where apples contain pectin which stimulates the production of saliva and eliminates odours with cinnamon serving as an antimicrobial agent- help clean the teeth thereby reducing plagues and cavities!

Soda, Water Mix
Directions:
1.    Mix water and a teaspoon of baking soda
2.     Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil
3.     Rinse the already clean mouth with the solution for 30 seconds at once
4.     Repeat as necessary
Soda works well to fight the odour and helps maintain the PH level.
