If you are a writer like me or hoping to be one, then this is for you.

•    Stop writing to be read and adored. Write because you love writing and you just want to write.
•    Don’t write for the affirmation of others. Write because you enjoy doing it.
•    Don’t write to please your audience and win them over. Write to satisfy the cravings in your heart.
•    Don’t write to attract comments or sharing, write just to pour out your feelings and opinions.
•    Real writers don’t write for affirmation or recognition, they do it because they cannot write.
•    By their gifts and under the authority of a higher calling, they are compelled to create, to wonder, to dream and to express it.
•    The true writers simply shows up ready to do the work not minding if it will be successful, important or acknowledged. After all, creating is our primary concern as writers.

Writers don’t write to get published. They write for another reason. They write for the love of writing. This is the first and only lesson every writer must learn. And here is the paradox, as we care less about our audience affection or perceptions, more people will be affected by our writing, applaud us and celebrate us some day.

So it’s time to begin! Dream boldly and imagine possibilities. Bring up words and phrases that the world is waiting to hear. Stop checking you blog stats and readers’ comments and just write. The process of getting discovered and becoming famous and be revered for your intelligence and acuity is not up to you, it is not really your call, your own job is just to show up and write.

The real writer within you is waiting!!!
